The 5% Club’s Consultancy Service

The ERA Foundation is pleased to announce its support for the 5% Club's launch of a new consultancy service, "Insight into Action". The employer-led movement is dedicated to increasing "earn and learn" training opportunities across the UK.

This service, developed in collaboration with Grant Thornton’s People Advisory Services, aims to help organizations optimize their workplace learning programs and make a more significant social impact.

The consultancy offering builds upon The 5% Club’s successful Employer Audit program, which provides participating organizations with detailed benchmarking data and insights into their performance across key metrics such as employment, program breadth, social mobility, completion rates, and future growth. The new service will assist Club members in translating these insights into actionable strategies to enhance their apprenticeship, graduate, and sponsored student schemes.

Building on its core purpose and aimed at helping employers large and small take “Insight into Action”, the service will:

  • Optimise employers’ workplace learning offerings by building on existing Apprenticeships, Graduate Schemes, and Sponsored Student intakes.
  • Enhance employer branding to retain existing staff and attract new talent.
  • Assist with planning to deliver socially impactful improvements whilst optimizing the business return on investment.
  • Create a strategy and approach to drive forward a tangible demonstration of social value to help win new business.

The service will be delivered through individualized support and regional “Gravity” schemes, enabling large employers and authorities to positively influence skills development within their supply chains and local communities.

ERA Foundation CEO Andrew Everett commented on the launch: “we have a long history of supporting the British Engineering Sector, and promoting the key role therein of ElecTech Manufacturing.
