For the first time ever there are more than 1 million women working in STEM roles across the UK.
WISE is celebrating this significant milestone by inspiring more women to become 1-of-the-million.
The new campaign asks women in STEM to put their face to the million by allowing them to upload a photo via wisecampaign.org.uk and learn more about some of the inspiring women already making a difference in their fields.
The campaign is a celebration of the fact that women now make up 24% of the core STEM workforce in the UK. While there is still work to do the milestone is significant. The number of women in Engineering has almost doubled from just over 25,000 to over 50,000 and there has been a total increase of 350,00 women in core STEM in the last ten years.
You can upload your photo and story now on the WISE website and join the celebrations on Wednesday, June 10th when WISE will be holding a #1ofTheMillion day.
