Over one hundred guests attended the lunch this year and WS Atkins Chairman Allan Cook CBE delivered this year’s lecture entitled “Industrial Strategy: In today’s uncertain world do Engineers have some of the answers?”.
During the lunch, the ERA Foundation awarded the second annual Clark Prize prize to Philip Worsley. Ms Rose Russell and Mrs Julie Wiskow were runners-up.
Philip is from Joseph Whitaker School in Rainworth, Nottinghamshire and runs a highly successful engineering club, giving young girls and boys in a deprived area of Nottingham the opportunity to experience hands-on engineering.
In addition, the ERA Awarded four new fellowships to new Fellowships to Mr Sorin Popa, Mr Shay Sosanya, Miss Susanna Challinger and Dr Angelo Grubisic.
